Heya everyone!!

Hope you are all well :)
I was lucky enough to win 2 seperate prize last November and December that were from lovely people in America.....however neither of these packages arrived. Both of the ladies were very kind and re-sent the packages....but they have both gone missing again!! So in all that in 4 deliveries from U.S.A that have never arrived, which is really annoying and sad :(
I was just wondering is anyone else having problems with mail from U.S.A going missing? I don't think any of the items were tracked so I think I will just have to give up on them now. Please let me know if anyone else has had similiar problems?

Exciting News.....My First Ever Karen's Doodles DT Card!!!

Hey Everyone!

A few weeks ago I applied for a position on the Karen's Doodles DT, and a few days later I recieved an email to offer me a position :) I have been dying to let everyone know but I decided to leave it until I had my first card ready to go and was officially up and running on the design team :) I have been a massive fan of Karen's Doodles stamps ever since I started using digi stamps so I am 100% over the moon delighted :)

So onto the challenge then.... Karen's Doodles Challenge # 98

This time around our theme is "Celebrate" so a nice and easy one!! Anyone can enter our challenges but remember only entries using Karen's Doodles images will be eligible for the first place prize and Card of the Week. You can find lots of amazing digi stamps in the Karen's Doodles store, so come on and join us!

Here is my card....

I have used this adorable digi stamp called "Dragon Birthday" (available HERE) which I have coloured with my Promarkers. Now as for the papers, I can't be 100% sure but I think the bunting paper is from Crate Paper and the polka dot and blue papers are from First Edition. I have used my Martha Stewart zig zag edge punch along the bottom of the card and added a few mini buttons and a Craftwork Cards sentiment to finish it off.

Here is my card......

For my card I have used a House Mouse stamp coloured with ProMarkers. The glitter heart paper is from a Country Companions paper pack. I have added white beads to the centre of my paper flowers,also I have added lots of tiny little yellow beads to the heads of some of the flowers in my main image. I have used my MS border punch on the red card and a cuttlebug embossing folder on the green card. Flowers,beads and heart mini buttons all from my stash

Hi everyone, Happy Monday! (well as happy as a Monday can be lol)

It's my turn to choose the theme for our challenge at Crafty Cardmakers , I have chosen No Floral Embellishments. You can use flower Backing Paper, flowers in your image or even a flower as an image, but NO floral embellishments, so no flowers, flower shaped buttons, or anything else resembling a flower that you have added to the finished card.

Here is my card.....

For my card I have used my new Skateboard Tilda which I stamped and then masked off and overstamped with the Butterfly Background stamp.I have coloured the image with ProMarkers.All of the papers that I have used are from Papermania.I have made the little butterflys by sticking peel offs onto vellum and cutting them out,and coloured them with Sakura pens. My sentiment is a digi from Crafty Sentiment Designs.The mini buttons are from Papermania and then finally added some stickles to the buttons and image.

Hi everyone!

Hope you are all well :) It's freezing here in the midlands of Ireland today!

Well today I have a little preview of 1 of 12 new stamps soon to be released at the Nutcrafters Store. This adorable stamp that I have used on my card is called Jack and Jill , and ,as you might well guess the new collection is the Nursery Rhyme collection :) They are going to be available to buy from the 9th of January.

For my card I have used the new Jack and Jill stamp and paper pieced parts of it with some cutey polka dot paper and coloured the rest with my ProMarkers. The blue paper is a printable from Pink Petticoat. The ribbon,gems and mini buttons are all from my stash.

It's time for the last challenge of the year at Crafty Cardmakers which has been chosen by Tracy, who has picked Use It Three Times as her theme. Use the same stamp/image three different ways. It could be the background, main image and a tag to match for example. (ie Christmas Wrapping Paper, Greeting Card and Gift Tag) Using different colourways is another way or, even, as a couple of the team have done three different cards or the same image three times on the one card.

I decided to get ahead with myself and make my daughter Mia's 9th birthday card (its not her birthday til end of Jan lol) I have used a small magnolia shell stamp 3 times, the first time I have used it is with purple versamagic chalk on pink pearl card and then heat embossed it with holographic powder.I have also used the stamp in the main image with pink versamagic and the 3 little purple shells are made from shrink plastic.This was almost impossible to do as the stamp is so small the shrink plastic kept blowing away lol The image I have used is a digi from Pollycraft,the other papers are from the Me to You paper pack and Fizzy Moon paper pack. Ribbon,pearls and gems are all from my stash.

Hope you are all keeping well and not too cold wherever you are :) My heating gave up working last night and I was like a block of ice until about an hour ago when my lovely husband finally got it working again :) YAY! Now Im lovely and toasty :) Anyways enough waffeling lol

For my card I have used the Winter Walk stamp set from Nutcrafters. I can't believe the value of this cutie set, it's on sale at the minute for only £3.83 for the 2 stamps!! I have coloured my image with ProMarkers and added lots of stickles and solver peel off snowflakes.The papers that I have used are from and old DCWV christmas stack. I have used an X-cut border punch onto the gold card. The mini buttons and flower are from my stash.

Our challenge this time is for you to recycle something and use it on your project.
So what do we define as recycling? Well you could for example turn a pringles container into a pen pot, the inside of a parcel tape roll to make a jewellery box. Alternatively just something on the project that is recycled, ie corrugated cardboard for background, bits of sweet box ribbon, shiny foil etc. The possibilities are endless and I am sure appeal to the little hoarder inside all of us Crafters.

Now onto my creation...

My 2 gift tags started life out as the cardboard in a board-backed envelope. I die cut this really sturdy cardboard (with a struggle lol) in my cuttlebug with a tag shaped die. Then I covered them with Tim Holtz music tissue tape. I then inked over the tape with Antique Linen distress ink.The white part of the snowflakes is also recyled from an old white envelope, which I cut into snowflakes using my Cricut, I also cut some smaller snowflakes from silver mirror card.The white buttons and ribbon are both from an old dress of my daughters.To finish I added some stickles to the snowflakes and to the ends of the ribbon.

For my card I have used this really sweet stamp called Silent Night. I have coloured her with ProMarkers.I then used a cuttlebug embossing folder with a small rectangle of pink paper then highlited the embossing with some distress ink and stickles. The background paper is a freebie that came with a magazine. The little holly brads are from Papermania. Flowers, gems and sentiment from my stash.

I have had this cutey Popcorn the Bear stamp for quite a while now and only ever used it once before so I decided it was time I dusted it off and inked it up! Ive coloured this image with PM's and added loads of stickles.The dp is from a Forever Friends xmas pad,the glitter card is from DCWV. For my card I have used a LOTV stamp which I have coloured with PMs. I used my oval nesties to layer it and added lots of little pink pearls around the frame. Here is my DT card using the fab Freebie image....

For my card I printed off this black firework backing paper. I ripped some orange vellum and attached it to the top part of my card using black and orange brads. I coloured the adorable image with my ProMarkers.The star is a die cut and the wording is just from alphabet peel offs. Finally to finish I added lots of stickles to the image and star and also lots of little glittery silver stars all over the background paper.

We're Back!! Challenge #53 @ Crafty Cardmakers

Hi everyone!

Well after a little break, re-group and not forgetting some lovely new DT members we are back at Crafty Cardmakers :) To help eveyone get back into the swing of things we have a nice and easy challenge this time around... it's Anything Goes!! Also the prize for the lucky winner is 2 gorgeous sheets of stamps from Pink Paislee, they are fab! So come join us HERE, we would love to see all your "Anything Goes" creations.

For my card I used 3 Magnolia stamps for the scene,not sure of their correct names.... the pirate Edwin,the barrel and anchor and then a small shell stamp.I coloured everything with PMs, used my distress ink for the blue background and added some gold stickles to the sand. I have used papers from the DCWV rockstar stack. My sentiment is a stamp from the Kraftin Kimmie pirate sentiments set. I used an Xcut punch for the border and the cord and charm are from my stash.

Birthday Card for my Mom

This is a birthday card for my Mom, the question mark on the cake is just perfect as I have no idea how old she is lol I don't think she wants me to know anyway hahaha! For her pressie I have booked us a night in a hotel and we are going the Creative Crafts Show thats on in Belfast! For my card I have used 2 of these adorable digi stamps from the Pink Princess set. They really are so cute and its fantasitc that £2.00 from each sale of the set is going to Breast Cancer Awareness!!

I have coloured the digis with ProMarkers and added lots of Purple and Stardust stickles. The die cut fancy square shape is done with some of my Xcut nesting dies.The DP I have used is another freebie from a magazine. Then I just stamped the sentiment (no idea where this stamp is from lol) added a few black peel offs and pearls to finish.

Help?!

Hiya,

I was just wondering has anybody else noticed green links appearing in comments, the links are usually for ads or sometimes it links back to a blog? Ive posted about 3 comments and the links have automaticaly been put in so i have had to delete the comment and try again. It is really weird and I am wondering if I have some kind of virus or if its something to do with blogger? I have noticed the links in lots of peoples comments!

If anyone had any input or help I would be soooo greatful :)

****Update**** I think I have solved it, it seems that its a feature called "text enhance" that is perfectly legit and came along with my recent Firefox update, so luckily at least it seems I am the only one seeing theses links. I was worried that I was unwillingly putting links on peoples blogs as I left them comments *phew* fingers crossed its all fixed now as I was able to opt out of it.

Nutcrafters Blog Re-Launch and Challenge #1 - Autumn is in the air!

Hi everyone!

Today is the first challenge for us at the newly re-launched Nutcrafters blog! The challenge is "Autumn is in the Air". To enter you must use a Nutcrafters image, but since the girlies are so generous they have also provided another FREEBIE! The challenge is sponsored by The Nutcrafters Shop, who not only sell all of the gorgeous stamps and digi squares, they also have all sorts of other gorgeous-ness and the prices are just fantastic! For my card I have used this cutie Nutcrafters digi Stamp called Autumn Breeze. I have paper pieced her skirt and scarf from the same paper as I have used for the backing paper (which is a freebie from a magazine) I have coloured her with my fave ProMarkers.The ribbon,charm,flowers and gems are all from my stash.

Hi everyone!! Hope you are all well :)
A little while ago I applied for a position on the Nutcrafters Design Team and I got accepted!! YAY!!! Im so delighted! They have the most adorable images and I'm really looking forward to working with them and all my new team mates :)
Here is a card that I made with a fab digi stamp that is FREE over at Nutcrafters to celebrate the blog relaunch :)

I have coloured this little cutie with my ProMarkers and added the "party!" with doodlebug rub-ons.

As I was flipping through my stamps I came across this Sugar Nellie stamp called Country Garden. My birthday is smack bang in the middle of summer and this year my daughter went out and picked me a lovely bunch of flowers for my pressie. When I saw this stamp it just reminded me of this and my summer memories :) The paper I have used is from the Bird Song stack from First Edition, i've used my MS garden trellis punch, coloured the image with ProMarkers and the ribbon ,charm and flowers are all from my stash.
